Danny Mayes was born in Augusta, Georgia, in 1970. He graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina in 1992 and earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 1995 from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Danny was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1995, the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina in 1997, and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in 1999. He is a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives and a member of the Aiken Bar Association and the South Carolina Bar Association.

Danny concentrates his practice in disability law, in particular appeals of Social Security disability cases at the administrative level and in federal court. He also handles personal injury and workers’ compensation cases.
